Women’s Soccer looks to 2024

Aug 14, 2023 | Athletics, Women's Soccer

The difficult decision to not move ahead with an official 2023 schedule for the women’s soccer program has been made, due to an insufficient final roster number.

A lot of time and resources will be put into making 2024 an amazing comeback season, with abounding opportunity for those in the class of 2024 to come in and join the resurgence of Grace women’s soccer.

“In the midst of the sad news, in conversations and meetings with the returning players they have shown grace and a contagious optimism for the future,” said Grace Athletic Director Cory Jamieson. “We hope to keep them engaged this year, as they will be the heart of leading a team that will have a lot of incoming freshman in 2024.”

The Tigers are seeking a Head Coach to lead the program into a new era. In the immediate future, Director of Soccer Dustin Buchanan will be recruiting for the women’s program as he has succeeded in doing so with the men in taking their program to new heights in the past decade.

“I’m so glad to have Dustin Buchanan to help our athletic department through this. Dustin loves Grace, loves soccer, and loves interacting with prospective student-athletes and their families,” added Jamieson. “As we search for a coach, he has already hit the ground running to kick-start our roster for 2024 and make it a special comeback year.”
