Matt Sykes currently serves at Grace Christian University as the Director of Academic Operations, managing the academic operations of the Center for Hispanic Education, Online Programs, and Graduate Programs. Additionally, he is an online adjunct faculty member in the Arts & Sciences division.

Matt did his undergraduate work at the University of Georgia, preparing to become a high school Spanish teacher. He later completed a Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While there, he taught elementary Spanish courses as a graduate assistant and as a post-graduate fellow. Matt went on to serve as a missionary in Puerto Rico and Nicaragua, before coming to Grace Christian University. His wife, April, graduated from Grace and they met on the mission field in Puerto Rico.
