Where do I even begin? This journey has been nothing short of a blessing for both me and my family. It all started when I began my college experience at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). However, after a year, I realized I needed a school that aligned more closely with my Christian views. Thatās when I found Grace Christian University.
I’ll never forget the pivotal moment when I spoke with my first advisor at Grace. Our call ended with him saying, āLetās pray that this is what God is calling you to do.ā In that instant, I knew I was on the right path. From then on, Grace became a vital part of my spiritual and academic journey, and it has been life-changing.Ā
Walking in faith has been central to this experience. Each step Iāve taken at Grace has strengthened my relationship with Christ, reminding me that faith is about trustātrusting that God is guiding my path, even when the way forward isnāt always clear.
A Journey of Faith
The most significant growth Iāve experienced throughout this journey has been in my faith in Jesus Christ. Attending Grace online from my home in San Antonio, Texas, strengthened my relationship with Him in ways I never anticipated. I now clearly see that God led me to Grace Christian University for many reasons, and Iām so thankful. Not only has this experience deepened my faith, but it has also reinforced the importance of being an ambassador for Christ in everything I do.
At Grace, Iāve been blessed by professors who have not only taught me academically but have also shared their wisdom and life lessons rooted in faith. They have shown me what it means to lead a life of service to Christ, and Iāve carried those lessons with me in my daily walk. This journey has reminded me that no matter where I go, whether in my hometown of San Antonio or beyond, my role is to represent Christ, and for that, I am truly grateful.
A Family of Support
As anyone pursuing a degree knows, the path isnāt always smooth. Over the last four years, Iāve faced countless ups and downs. Some days, it felt impossible to juggle family life, work, and coursework. But I couldnāt have done it without the unwavering support of my husband and the countless prayers from my Grace family.
The sense of community at Grace Christian University, even online, is truly something special. The professors, advisors, and fellow students became more than just connectionsāthey became family. And during the toughest times, knowing that I had the prayers of my Grace family carried me through.
A Degree with a Purpose
Earning my degree in Psychology is the cherry on top of this incredible experience. This accomplishment represents so much more than academic achievement; it is a testament to Godās faithfulness throughout this journey. I now feel equipped not only with knowledge but with a heart ready to serve and help others in ways that honor Christ.
A Tribute to My Mother
While this journey has been a beautiful chapter in my life, itās also been bittersweet. My mother was the inspiration behind my decision to go back to school. She always believed in the power of education and the doors it opens. I did this for her.
Tragically, we lost her to cancer in 2020, so she wonāt be here to see me graduate. Yet, I find comfort in knowing that sheās cheering me on from Heaven. I carry her love and belief in me as I move forward, and I know she is proud of what Iāve accomplished.
Looking Ahead
As I reflect on my time at Grace Christian University, I canāt help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. This journey has been about so much more than earning a degree. It has been about growing in my faith, building lifelong relationships with other believers, and realizing the profound impact of following Godās calling. I am excited to take the lessons Iāve learned here and continue to be an ambassador for Christ in every aspect of my life.
To anyone considering taking this leap of faith, I encourage you to pray and seek Godās guidance, just as I did. You may find, as I did, that His plan leads you to incredible places and blessings beyond your imagination.
