Thanksgiving at Grace: A Heart of Gratitude

Nov 28, 2024 | Blog

November is a month dedicated to thankfulness, and at Grace Christian University, it holds a special place in our hearts. Thanksgiving invites us to pause and reflect on God’s goodness, the relationships He has blessed us with, and the many ways His provision sustains us daily.

Thanksgiving stands out as a holiday with little commercialism, centered instead on the simple joy of gathering with loved ones, sharing a meal, and expressing gratitude. It’s a time to acknowledge that all we are and have depends on God’s graciousness. For many, this season reminds us to celebrate the people who pour into our lives with love, time, and effort.

A Culture of Gratitude at Grace

Gratitude is deeply embedded in our community at Grace Christian University. Whether it’s students pausing to thank faculty for their support, families appreciating the sacrifices of their loved ones, or the university expressing gratitude to its faithful donors, thankfulness flows through everything we do. Every meal served, every class taught, and every moment shared is a gift we are thankful for.

Our students enjoy the rare privilege of attending a Bible-centered institution where the Bible is upheld as the highest authority. It’s a reason to give thanks every day. This month, we are especially thankful for the opportunity to take a break from studies and celebrate Thanksgiving with our families, friends, and churches. It’s a time to reflect on the blessings of education, faith, and community.

What Grace Christian University Is Thankful For

  1. Our Mission and Legacy
We give thanks for over 85 years of ministry and education at Grace Christian University. We are grateful for the leaders who came before us, the Board of Directors who guide us with biblical values, and the unwavering commitment to graduating courageous ambassadors for Christ.
  2. Our Faculty and Staff
Nearly 100 faculty and staff members pour their hearts into teaching, mentoring, and serving our students. Their dedication enables Grace to provide an education rooted in biblical truth and transformational growth.
  3. Our Students
More than 800 students are part of the Grace community, each with a unique calling to serve Christ and make an eternal impact. We are honored to walk alongside them in their academic and spiritual journeys.
  4. Our Supporters and Donors
Grace would not be the university it is today without the generosity of friends, donors, and ministry partners. Through prayer, financial gifts, and encouragement, they enable us to equip students to impact the world for Christ.
  5. Our Abundant Blessings
From clean water and nutritious food to educational opportunities and freedom to worship, we are thankful for the physical and spiritual blessings God provides. These are gifts we recognize as rare in many parts of the world.

An Invitation to Gratitude and Giving

As we reflect on God’s faithfulness this Thanksgiving, we invite you to join us in giving thanks for His abundant blessings. Your partnership is vital to continuing the important work of educating students who will boldly represent Christ wherever they go. Your prayers and financial gifts make this possible, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

Would you prayerfully consider giving a year-end gift to Grace Christian University? Together, we can ensure that this work continues and that a new generation of ambassadors for Christ is equipped to make an eternal impact.

This Thanksgiving, let’s thank the Lord for His provision, relationships, and the opportunity to serve. From all of us at Grace Christian University, thank you for your prayers, generosity, and partnership. We are incredibly blessed to share this journey with you.
