Our purpose in life is deeply rooted in our relationship with Jesus Christ and what He calls us to do each day. At Grace Christian University, this purpose fuels every decision, every lesson, and every act of service. We are not simply educators or staff; we are members of the Body of Christ, called to pour our energy and talents into the mission God has placed before us. That mission is clear: Graduating Courageous Ambassadors for Christ Who Make an Eternal Impact Wherever They Go. Whether in the classroom or on the athletic field, behind a desk or leading chapel worship, each person plays a vital role.
Why is this mission so important? Because the world is broken. Humanity, apart from Christ, is hopelessly lost and in desperate need of redemption. We exist to meet that need with truth, grace, and courage.
Responding to a Broken World
The fall of mankind left behind a fractured world, one filled with confusion, pain, and disillusionment. But Grace Christian University stands as a light in this spiritual darkness. That’s why we take our mission so seriously, because people’s eternity is at stake. That’s why we work tirelessly to teach and graduate courageous ambassadors who will carry the gospel of salvation to the world.
We get to join God in His redemptive work, to restore what was broken, to reflect Christ in the way we serve, and to glorify Him in all we do.
A Work Worth Doing
At Grace, even the small things are meaningful. When someone brings cut roses to a loved one at Sunset Manor or sits in stillness before class begins to pray over their students, that reflects God’s heart.
This world grows more hostile toward biblical truth with each passing year. The church is being pushed to the margins. But that is exactly why Grace exists. Like Bishop Hugh Latimer once said as he was martyred for his faith, “We shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, that I trust shall never be put out.”
Grace graduates are candles lit by truth, courage, and a boldness to share their faith with others.
Unapologetically Biblical
We serve in a culture that celebrates self-expression but suppresses truth. We must be people of unwavering resolve, committed to Scripture and bold in our love for the lost. Our calling as Christians remains steady. Our witness is eternal.
Every conversation, every post, every word we share, these reflect our witness for Christ. We elevate His truth above all else. This is the heart behind our education at Grace: a biblical foundation that transforms lives and communities.
Teaching the Next Generation
Graduating courageous ambassadors doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intentional mentorship, immersive discipleship, and a consistent witness of godly living. Our students learn to live out their faith daily. Jessica, one of our students, put it best:
“To be courageous ambassadors for Christ who make an eternal impact wherever we go, one cannot simply do that without a solid and firm relationship with Christ. Continue to read His Word. Continue to sit with Him and fall in love with Him as your all in all. Learn Him and let your heart ever be set on adoring Him, and you will see Him create an eternal impact in your life and the lives of those around you.”
A Biblical Response to Culture
Today’s educational systems promote a narrative far from God’s truth. Truth is no longer objective; it’s relative. But at Grace Christian University, we teach a different story. The Word of God is our standard for truth, and every student learns to evaluate life through its lens.
In a world filled with confusion and contradictions, we believe:
- Truth is not subjective.
- Every human is made in the image of God.
- Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone.
- Community matters.
This counter-cultural commitment is what makes Grace essential. It sets our students apart and equips them for real-world impact.
A Community that Transforms
At Grace our faculty and staff invest personally in each student’s walk with Christ. Mentorship, prayer, and deep conversations support a student as they walk through their college years.
Parker summed it up beautifully. After playing basketball at Grace for three years, he stood at the podium and declared that even delivering his speech was an act of courageous faith. He reminded us all of the mission: graduating courageous ambassadors for Christ who make an eternal impact wherever they go.
Equipping for Every Calling
Our students go on to serve as pastors, counselors, business professionals, teachers, and missionaries. They work in churches, nonprofit organizations, schools, government, and healthcare. They stand out because they are equipped to make an eternal impact.
And their training isn’t limited to ministry. They’re trained for all aspects of life. One preacher said, “The only reason God doesn’t just take you to heaven when you believe is because now He has meaningful work for you to do in this world.”
That is the mission of Grace. To help every student discover meaningful work, pursue it with bold faith and share the love of Christ to those around them.
Investing in What Matters
We ask you to join us in prayer, in giving, and in spreading this mission. Your support helps ensure that the light we pass on will never go out.
