Jul 24, 2023 | Alumni

Aaron Smith is a youth pastor who currently resides in Wyoming, MI. He lives with his wife, Alaina, of 12 years, and their kids Charlotte, William, and Elenor – along with their dog, Max.

Aaron graduated from Grace in 2010 with his undergraduate degree in Biblical Study. He later went back for his MA in Ministry, graduating once again in 2019.

Aaron recently started an online youth group that is currently made up of students from both Michigan and Texas. Aaron desires to use modern technology to further God’s kingdom. Before stepping into this role, he served as a youth pastor at Trinity Congregational Church for 8 years.

When asked about his most memorable times at Grace, Aaron shared about the Israel trip he went on with Dr. Phil Long. He said, “I will never forget sitting on the Mount of Olives as Dr. Long read the Sermon on the Mount. I just remember looking around and imagining what it was like when Jesus was there teaching.”

Aaron is grateful for Dr. Long and the other professors who pushed him to do his best and gave him tools that he uses today in his ministry roles.
