The recruits keep coming for the Baseball team in its second year of existence! Josh Howard, a catcher from Rockford, MI, and Jackson Titus, an infielder from Lansing, MI, just signed their letters of intent last week.
Howard currently attends West Michigan Aviation Academy and plays travel ball for Rockford Baseball Academy. Josh chose Grace because of his conversations with Coach Wolfe and Professor Matt DeYoung in the business department, which is his preferred area of study.
“Josh is going to be a big addition to our depth behind the plate,” says Coach Wolfe. “He’s got a strong bat and a frame to build onto. Excited to see what Josh becomes over the next few years!”
Titus attends Lansing Christian High School and plays summer ball for the Lansing Area Dodgers. Jackson plans to study Communications at Grace with a minor in Business. When asked why he chose Grace, Jackson mentioned that he wanted to be in an environment where those around him were serious about growing in their faith. He liked the intentionality that the baseball program displays in their faith development as well.
“Jackson is a really solid player,” said Coach Wolfe. “I see Jackson stepping up as a leader both on and off the field, and he’ll help us out in more ways than one.”
While looking forward to next year’s class, the team is currently focusing on the season at hand. The Tigers just completed their first road trip of the spring to Trinity Christian College, and are gearing up for their spring break trip to North Carolina March 6th-11th.
