Grace Golf adds Allegan HS standout Brandon Katsma

May 18, 2023 | Athletics, Golf

Allegan, MI – The Grace Christian University men’s golf team is excited to announce the signing of Brandon Katsma, a standout from Allegan High School in Allegan, MI. Brandon is the son of Tim and Celestia Katsma, and a brother to Nick, Maddy, Allie, and Gabby.

Brandon brings with him a lot of tournament experience, competing all four years in High School as well as summer tournaments the last two years. In all, he has 15 first place finishes through his career and has received All-Conference honors each season in HS.

“I’m so excited to go to GCU to meet all the new people and play some great golf for my new team,” commented Brandon.

In addition to golf, Brandon has been a part of the track and field and swim and diving team at Allegan, and he carries a 3.3 GPA.

“We are excited to have Brandon join the GCU golf team for this 2023 season,” said Grace first year Head Coach Eric Zudweg. “Brandon is a hard worker and wants to compete with the best. We know that his worth ethic and skill are going to help our team see a lot of growth over these next few years.”

Brandon joins a team that participated in their first season this past fall, and will be an integral piece next fall as the Tigers look to kick it up a notch in year two and build their solid foundation.
