The Grace Christian University men’s golf program is excited to announce their first official signing for their inaugural roster in 2022 in Brayden Kennedy. Brayden, a current member of the Fruitport High School golf team, is the son of Beth and Jason Kennedy, and an older brother to Christian and Kolton.

Brayden was a member of MLive’s "Golfers to Watch" in the Muskegon Area for the 2022 season and has been a varsity golfer for all four years of his high school career, coming to Fruitport High School for his senior season by way of Ludington High School previously. He was involved in multiple sports at Fruitport, assisting the basketball, baseball, and football coaching staffs as student manager in addition to being a standout on the golf squad.

"At the moment I started communicating with Brayden, I knew he’d be a perfect fit for our program and school and I was ecstatic when he let me know of his desire to commit," said Grace Head Coach Cory Jamieson. "He will make an impact right away, bringing years of experience, a desire to improve, and a contagious love for the game of golf and the joys and challenges it brings."

"I chose Grace Christian University to continue to grow stronger in my faith, further my education, and to play golf as a Tiger!" said Brayden. "The entire university feels like family to me," he added.

Brayden, also an honor roll student at Fruitport High School in the classroom, intends to pursue a degree in business with an emphasis of Sport Management at Grace.
