May 11, 2023 | Athletics, Women's Tennis

The Grace Men’s Tennis Program signs standout #1 singles player Luke Post from South Christian High School. Luke and his parents, Richard and Shari Post, as well as older sisters Marissa, Kendra, and Lindsey reside in Caledonia, Michigan. Together the Post family attends Hillside Community Church. Growing up Luke was involved in a variety of sports but eventually he found his true passion on the court playing tennis.

Before and during his journey to his high school tennis team, Luke first developed his skills while playing with In the Zone, Premier Tennis Club, and USTA teams for many years. Everything he learned allowed him to leave a mark on the men’s tennis Program at South Christian. There Luke not only earned his rights onto the 50 WIN CLUB, but he was also the Longest Standing #1 singles player in program history.  Post was also recognized as an All- Conference Member for his school during his Freshman, Sophomore, and Senior year of High School. During his time at #1 singles the team at South Christian went to state in both 2021 and 2022. In 2021 the team placed 4th in the state Tournament and Luke was able to make it to the Semis at the University of Michigan and In 2022 the team finished 6th at the State tournament at Kalamazoo College.

Coach Bushen quoted, “Luke is a great young gentleman and tennis player, with a great career at South Christian. We are looking forward to him coming to Grace and contributing right away to our men’s tennis team and the Grace family, as we continue to build our program.”

When Luke is not on the court playing tennis then he enjoys hanging out with his friends or listening to music whenever there is free time.  A quote from Luke and what he is excited about heading to GCU in the fall: “I look forward to meeting a lot of new people and making a lot of memories with the people that I’ll meet, and I can’t wait to grow closer to God.”
