JV bounces back to move to 4-2

Nov 14, 2023 | Athletics, JV Men's Basketball

The Grace men’s basketball JV moved to 4-2 on the season after a 68-63 win on the road over Olivet College. They bounced back from a slim loss to Aquinas College last Friday, where they had chances on the last possession but fell 54-57.

Keontae Richards scored 28 points to lead the Tigers, followed by Devin Bartee who scored 19 and knocked down 4 three-point shots. Roy Fogg rounded out the Tigers in double-figures scoring with 10 points.

“A big shot by Devin to put us ahead and two free throws from Roy to seal it were big for us,” said Head Coach Karlion Jackson. “Keontae continued his efficient scoring for us, and Mike also gave us some great minutes off the bench.”

Next up for the Tigers is Northwood University Tuesday night at 5:00 pm, followed by Friday night at home vs. Bethel University at 7:00 pm.
