JV finds groove, defends home court vs. GLCC

Jan 27, 2023 | JV Men's Basketball

The JV squad picked up their 5th win of the year Thursday night at home vs Great Lakes Christian College. This was the second win in less than a week against the rivals, as the Tigers also took down the Crusaders on January 19th by a margin of 40 points. This time was a bit closer though still a significant gap, as the Tigers held down Great Lakes by a commanding 23 points.

Keontae Richards and Jordan Cobb led the scoring efforts with 22 and 21 points in the game. Several players had near double digit rebounds, and the Tigers shot an impressive 38% from behind the ark.

The JV team will see Great Lakes twice more throughout the year, once home and once away. The Tigers will look to continue their winning ways and control the season series next at Great Lakes on February 7th. In the meantime, JV’s next game is Tuesday the 31st at home vs Concordia (Ann Arbor).
