Sep 8, 2026 | Men's Soccer

Pippas Passes, KY – After taking their season opener at home against Ohio Christian, Men’s Soccer headed down south to take on Alice Lloyd College and Kentucky Christian University over the weekend.

Grace Tigers vs. Alice Lloyd College

The Tigers would take on Alice Lloyd Thursday, where they would take a 1-0 lead late in the first half with a goal from Freshman Cyrus Darehshori.

Going into the second half the Tigers came out firing on all cylinders scoring 3 goals in 12 minutes with goals scored by Mateo Nabben, Collin Kazmerski, and Yhony Jose Vail Elias to extend the Tigers lead to 4-0.

Later in the second half Andrew Robinson would put the Tigers up 5-0. Alice Lloyd would find the back of the net just before the end of regulation to avoid the shutout, but the Tigers would go on to win by a final of 5-1 improving to 2-0 on the year.

Logan Wershchem would put up another outstanding performance in goal playing the first 80 minutes with 5 saves and allowing 0 goals.

Grace Tigers vs. Kentucky Christian University

The Tigers would then get a day off before heading to Kentucky Christian University to take on the Knights. The Tigers would create a few good scoring chances for themselves early on in the first half but would be unable to capitalize.

But late in the first half Caden Petrolje would deliver a perfect ball to Andrew Robinson who would beat the KCU keeper to put the Tigers up 1-0 late in first. The second half would go on to be a defensive battle as the Tigers defense and Logan Werschem would keep the knights off the board and go on to win 1-0.

With their second shutout of the year the Tigers would improve to 3-0 in the early goings of the season. The Tigers head to Wisconsin next to take on Lawrence University (September 10, 10am CST) and Lakeland University (September 11, 1:30pm CST).
