DeNeui places 3rd at Cleary Invite

Golf
Though overall it was a struggle for all five teams participating at the Cleary University Invitational at Chemung Hills in Howell, MI this past Friday, Tigers freshman Cody DeNeui was steady throughout, scoring 80 to place himself at 3rd overall – the first top 10 finish for any Grace individual.

Eli Carlson was the only other Tiger within range of his season average on Friday, as everyone struggled with some tight fairways and difficult hole layouts throughout the day.

"Cody played great, finishing the only individual round we’ve seen this season without any double bogeys," said Grace Head Coach Cory Jamieson. "The scores of all the teams showed how difficult it was out there today. We’ll be ready to close out the year strong next week at Egypt Valley."

The Tigers will close out their season next Monday and Tuesday at the Egypt Valley Championships across town in Ada, MI. They will play 36 holes on Monday and follow up with 18 Tuesday.
