University Center, MI – Your Grace Christian Tigers Men’s Basketball traveled to Saginaw Valley State University for one final match up on the year 2022. Unfortunately, due to injuries and sickness, the Tigers went in shorthanded and only dressed nine players for the match-up. Coach Krombeen had these comments on the match up against SVSU: “We went in shorthanded with four players sitting out due to injury and three others dealing with sickness. We only suited up 9 players for the game. Despite being short-handed, we held a 5-point lead in the 1st half (26-21) and went into halftime down 5 (48-43). In the second half, we were within 9 with 14 minutes left, but Saginaw went on a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach. Our guys battled to the end and showed a lot of heart and toughness in less-than-ideal circumstances. We shot 39% from the field and 24% from the three-point line for the game.”

The Tigers now enter a road stint to begin 2023. Next up for them is another exhibition against NCAA D2 Ferris State University on Wednesday Jan. 4th in Big Rapids, MI.
