Muskegon, MI – Softball concluded their regular season on the road at Muskegon CC on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The Tigers, coming off a weekend sweep of Maranatha Baptist, were looking to carry that momentum into this midweek matchup as they tune up for regionals.

The Tigers would drop game one in heart breaking fashion as the Jayhawks would rally late in the 7th to walk it off 10-9. However, the Tigers would bounce back in game two getting the offense going early and taking a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the 5th. Lydia Clark would throw 4 shut out innings before the Jayhawks offense found some life scoring 5 runs to tie the game at 5 a piece.

The Tigers would add single runs in the 6th and 7th including Ellie Hoeksema’s second home run of the season extending the Tigers lead to 7-5. Emma Balkema would then slam the door on the mound as the Tigers would go on to win the season finale.

The Tigers concluded their regular season 9-21 on the year and head down to Alice Lloyd College on Monday, May 4th for the 2026 Regional Tournament.
