Dean teaches all areas of history and introduction to education classes. Over the past three decades Dean has taught in a wide variety of classrooms and ages. Dean loves teaching and has learned the importance of creating relationships within the learning commons. He is excited about learning and is always trying to find new ways to make knowledge acquisition fun. He is married to Dinorah, and they have three teenage boys who go to Calvin Christian, keeping Dean occupied with sports and arts activities. “In history, students gain a better perspective on the world in general, but students who study with the added benefit of a Christian worldview have a clearer understanding of God’s work in the world and are better prepared wherever they go.” The education program at Grace Christian, in participation with Cornerstone University’s education program, strengthens students’ convictions about God’s calling for them in teaching and prepares them to make an eternal impact wherever they go.
