About

Dr. Heidi Jaeckle is Special Appointment Faculty at Grace Christian University. She teaches courses in psychology, counseling, and health. In addition to teaching, she leads curriculum development for Grace Christian University’s emerging Health Sciences program. This program includes fitness and personal training concentrations, integrating evidence-based health science with Christian worldview perspectives. Dr. Jaeckle has a doctorate in Higher Education, a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, and coursework in Health Science and Instructional Design. As a result, she brings an integrated approach to education that bridges psychology and health.

Dr. Jaeckle’s doctoral research focused on women’s college experiences and the emotional toll of financing higher education among lower socioeconomic status white women from 1880–1920. Her scholarly work on higher education history has been published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the historiography of American college student life. In addition, Dr. Jaeckle has worked as a mental health counselor specializing in integrative mental health approaches. These approaches connect nutrition, movement, and psychological well-being. She has also taught as an adjunct at the University of Arkansas, Davenport University, and Montcalm Community College.

Dr. Jaeckle’s teaching philosophy emphasizes high support and high expectations while creating warm and encouraging learning environments. As a result, students are challenged to think critically, engage deeply with course content, and develop as whole persons.
