Unchanging God & Unchanged Mission

Sep 1, 2024 | Blog, President's Blog

The world is rapidly changing, and it can be challenging to keep up with it all. All of us observe changes in:

  • Technology and information dissemination
  • Shifting fashion trends
  • The reliability of news sources
  • Churches and worship practices
  • Food and nutrition

As we see these (and many more) changes, it can cause anxiety to navigate or understand. Yet, we also have the assurance that God does not change. The Scriptures tell us the revelation of God. In those texts, we find:

“I am the Lord, and I change not” (Malachi 3:6)

“Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8)

We can depend on God to always be holy, loving, gracious, and just. Because we can depend upon God in those ways, we can depend on Him to keep His Word. This means we can live our lives in alignment with the unchanging truth of God’s Word, no matter how things around us change! Our lost society needs a consistent witness of God’s grace and examples of lives being transformed by Christ. This is why Grace Christian University will continue to have relevance in a culture that increasingly doubts biblical truth. The work we do at Grace is to fulfill our mission of “Graduating courageous ambassadors for Christ who make an eternal impact wherever they go.”

Learn Grow Serve with Grace Christian University

Learn. Grow. Serve

At Grace, we desire for every student to learn God’s Word and understand the world and their chosen vocation from God’s perspective, as demonstrated in the Bible. We want to grow each student through intentional mentoring and a community of believers who mature in Christ as they study together. We also encourage each student to serve the Lord by working with others in different volunteer opportunities, as well as by completing group service projects and internships while at Grace. It is our goal that students see serving others as a normal way to live, and therefore can use their education to make an eternal impact wherever they go.

Grace Christian University has always practiced the principles of Learn, Grow, and Serve. 2024 is the 85th year since Pastor Charles F. Baker began our institution in 1939 as an institute that taught evening courses in Milwaukee. For 85 years, we have been dedicated to helping believers engage in the realities of learning, growing, and serving. Our commitment has always been to see both young and lifelong learners thrive in these areas. We are committed to continuing that legacy and reason for the existence of the institution long into the future.

Serving the unchanging God,

Ken B. Kemper
President
