Facilities at Grace Christian University
Grace Christian University offers beautifully landscaped views with plenty of free, on-site parking. We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, north of 28th Street and west of US 131. Only two and a half hours away from Detroit and three hours from Chicago, Grace Christian University is centrally located. Guests who make the trip will see all of the great sites that Grand Rapids has to offer. A short drive from downtown, Grand Rapids makes Grace Christian University just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life, while still being conveniently located near everything you need.
Commons / Main Entrance
The Commons at Grace Christian University is a multi-purpose space that serves as a hub for student life on campus. Being the main entrance of the University, it is a place where students can gather, study, socialize, and participate in various activities. It features comfortable seating, study tables, conference rooms, a fireplace, and the Kahawa coffee shop. The Commons hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as open mic nights, game nights, and movie nights. Huston Hall / Dining Room

Fitness Center
The Grace Fitness Center is located on the upper level of the Aldrich Athletic Center and is open to all students and staff. The facility was renovated with new flooring and equipment in 2019, and most recently added new top-quality dumbbell free weights courtesy of Living.Fit in 2023. The facility boasts equipment that tailors to all, from the beginner to the fittest of athletes.
Velting Field
Velting Field is named after Jim and Barb Velting, who were instrumental in the development of the field and the university’s athletic program. The field features a well-manicured playing surface and bleacher seating for spectators. Velting Field is a place where student-athletes can develop their skills, compete at a high level, and represent Grace Christian University with pride. It is also a gathering place for fans and supporters of the university’s athletic programs to come together and cheer on the teams.
Townhomes
Grace Townhomes are a housing option available to students at Grace Christian University who are looking for more independent living arrangements. The townhomes are located on campus and offer a comfortable living space with all the necessary amenities, including a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and two large bedrooms. The townhomes are designed to accommodate up to four students and provide a more spacious living environment than the traditional dormitories.
Residence Halls
Aletheia and Preston Halls are two of the residence halls at Grace Christian University. Aletheia Hall is a women’s dormitory, while Preston Hall is a men’s dormitory. Both halls offer a safe and supportive living environment for students, with comfortable living spaces, study areas, and community lounges. The rooms are designed to accommodate two students and are equipped with all the necessary furniture, including beds, desks, and dressers. The residence halls also feature community kitchens, laundry facilities, and recreational areas.
