Civics and Voting Issues

The voting system will require an ELECTRICAL OUTLET 

On the DAY BEFORE an election the Voting equipment will be delivered & ??? Set Up???

4 rectangular tables and 5 chairs for the election officials

8  round tables and 10 chairs for 10 voting stations 

Be sure the building is OPEN BY 6:00 am on election day unless you have provided us access to the building.

At 6:00 am on election day the Election Inspectors will report.  

The DAY AFTER an election the Voting Equipment will be taken down & picked up at??????

Dear Election Polling Location Host:

Thank you so much for your continued support of Wyoming elections.  The 2020 election cycle will be very busy.  In any case, I wanted to inform you of the known and potential 2020 election dates, which are as follows:

State Primary Elections Confirmed Tuesday, August 4th, 2020
General Election Confirmed Tuesday, November, 3 2020

Please block your facilities for the entire day for each of these election dates noted.  I will be in communication with your approximately one month prior to any confirmed election and will include pertinent information or requests for support.  If you would prefer that this information be relayed by e-mail, please cont me at vandenbergk@wyyomingmi.gov with the email contacts()s) for your facility.  As always, I hank you for allowing the use of your building for elections in the City of Wyoming.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at 530-7296.

Grace Christian University has been given the privilege to serve as the polling location for the 12th precinct. This is a great way for us to serve the City of Wyoming.
Location – voting will take place in the Rec Room. Voters will be moving through the Commons.
Parking – please leave staff parking open for voters. Park east of the boulevard toward Baker Chapel
Schedule – election volunteers will arrive at 6:00 am. Polls will be open between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm.
Etiquette (it’s the law) – No one is permitted to campaign in any way within 100 feet of the doorway entering the building. This means you cannot:
Talk to voters about voting for or against a candidate, issue or proposal
Display signs, posters, stickers, t-shirts or buttons for or against a candidate, issue or proposal
Collect petition signatures or solicit in any way
Park your car within 100 feet of the Commons door if it has a bumper sticker for or against a candidate, issue or proposal.
