  • Title
    Assistant Coach
As a pitcher at Calvin Christian High School in Grandville, MI, Jamie was a State Finalist and was awarded all region honors. After High School, Coach Jamie played 2 years at Taylor University and completed the year with the 3rd most innings pitched as a freshman. At Taylor, his team acquired 2 conference championships, top 25 coaches poll votes and a bid into the National Tournament.

At Taylor, Jamie studied Special Education and Psychology. In 2016, Coach Jamie transferred to Calvin University where he was led by his mentor and team-captain, Colton Wolfe. Jamie was a large part of Calvin's success his first 2 years, but suffered an arm injury that wouldn’t allow him to see the mound his final year. Following in Colton’s footsteps, Jamie would take over the role of team-captain his Junior and Senior years.

At Calvin Jamie received his degree in Recreational Therapy, and a minor in Psychology. After graduating at Calvin, Jamie worked as the Recreational Therapist on a Behavioral Unit for young men dealing with significant trauma and drug abuse. Coach Jamie also worked in Sales and eventually as the full time Recruiting and Showcase Manager at a baseball and softball academy in NJ.

Before leaving for NJ, Jamie was an assistant at Grace Christian for the baseball team’s inaugural season. After spending a year as a private instructor, and coaching travel and showcase baseball, Jamie returned to coaching at Grace Christian as the First Base Coach and works full-time on campus in the Business and Financial Aid Office.
