Origianlly from Spring Lake, MI, Peets played alongside Coach Wolfe at Calvin University as one of the team's go-to relief pitchers. Though his senior year was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Peets had a strong first 3 years of performance which earned him the nickname "Mr. Consistency" by his coaches for his ability to throw a strike whenever needed. While at Calvin, Peets studied Sports Management, and continued on to complete his MBA at Grand Valley State University.

In addition to coaching here at Grace, Peets works for the Detroit Tigers in their performance science division, doing most of his work throughout the spring with the West Michigan Whitecaps (Single-A affiliate of the Tigers). Peets currently lives in Grand Rapids and enjoys golfing, reffing football, and travelling in his free time.
