The Grace Christian University men’s golf team traveled to Tecumseh Golf Club over the weekend for their first two-day event at Adrian College’s Irish Hills Invitational.
Freshman Brandon Katsma picked up where he left off last week on Day 1, beating his own school record with a 75 and finishing the first round in the top 10 of a stacked field. Cody DeNeui followed with an 83 on Friday.
Head Coach Eric Zudweg commented on the weekend:
“We had another record setting weekend with Brandon beating his own record with a 75 on Day 1, landing him in the top 10 of a really good field after the 1st day. It was also great to see Ty and JT bounce back from rough Day 1s to improving by 10+ strokes on Day 2 and helping the squad. We look forward to getting back to practice this week and fine tuning some things as we hit the midway point in our season.”
The Tigers return to action on Friday, September 29 at Chemung Hills Golf Club for the Cleary University Invite.
