Dr. Heidi Jaeckle is Special Appointment Faculty at Grace Christian University, where she teaches courses in psychology, counseling, and health. In addition to teaching, she is leading curriculum development for Grace Christian University’s emerging Health Sciences program with fitness and personal training concentrations, integrating evidence-based health science with Christian worldview perspectives. With a doctorate in Higher Education and master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and coursework in Health Science and Instructional Design, Dr. Jaeckle brings an integrated approach to education that bridges psychology and health.
Dr. Jaeckle’s doctoral research focused on women’s college experiences and the emotional toll of financing higher education among lower socioeconomic status white women from 1880-1920. Her scholarly work on higher education history has been published in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the historiography of American college student life. Dr. Jaeckle has worked as a mental health counselor specializing in integrative mental health approaches that connect nutrition, movement, and psychological wellbeing. She has also taught as an adjunct at the University of Arkansas, Davenport University, and Montcalm Community College.
Dr. Jaeckle’s teaching philosophy emphasizes high support, high expectations, creating warm, encouraging learning environments where students are challenged to think critically, engage deeply with course content, and develop as whole persons.
