Overview
Excellence in Learning, Grounded in Faith
Through Grace Christian University’s Dual Enrollment program, you can take college-level courses that easily transfer to other institutions. Each course is taught from a Bible-centered perspective, integrating faith with learning in a wide range of subjects—English, math, history, speech, psychology, and science.
Courses are available online, on campus, or at your high school (where offered). You can start with up to two courses in your first semester and add more in future terms as desired and available.
Most students begin with 100- or 200-level courses, though upper-division classes may be available with approval. To remain in the program, students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in each course.

Frequently Asked Questions
High School Students
How is Dual Enrollment credit offered at my high school?
Grace Christian University offers college classes at your high school by utilizing teachers who are highly qualified in their fields of study. Your instructor will either be a visiting professor from Grace or a qualified teacher already at your school who holds a Master degree or higher in the content area.
How do students apply for Dual Enrollment credit?
- Speak with your guidance counselor to see what classes are being offered and if they fit into your schedule.
- Fill out the short Dual Enrollment Application. You must have a parent or guardian with you when you complete the application as they have their own section to read and acknowledge.
- Sign the Principal Letter when it is provided by your school.
Will the credits I earn transfer to another college?
Grace Christian University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). This is the same accrediting body for universities like the University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University, and Michigan State University. Because of this, your Grace class should transfer to the college of your choice. However, each institution determines its own policies and procedures for accepting transfer credits, so it is always a good idea to check with your desired institution.
How do I check if my course will transfer to my desired institution?
First, see if the college has a transfer equivalency webpage where you can check if Grace Christian University’s (used to be called Grace Bible College) transferable courses are listed. If not, send an email to the college’s Registrar’s Office asking about the transferability of the course you would like to take (make sure to include the course description and Grace’s HLC accreditation status). If they ask to see the course syllabus, feel free to contact sspriegel@gracechristian.edu to request a copy of the syllabus.
What is the cost of Dual Enrollment classes?
Through the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act from the State of Michigan the entire cost of tuition for these classes is free to the student! The limit on the number of free credits a high school student can receive is 30 credits. Students may be responsible for the cost of the textbook in some classes.
What if I change my mind and want to drop a class I signed up for?
Students may drop a class without penalty up to two weeks after the class begins. If you are thinking about dropping the class, talk with your school counselor. If you decide to move ahead with dropping the class, be sure to inform your instructor.
How do I request a transcript?
Students may access their unofficial transcript through the Grace student portal (my.gracechristian.edu). Upon course completion, students can request to have their official transcript sent to any college they choose. Go to gracechristian.edu/transcript-request to order your transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse. Note: there is a $10 fee per official transcript.

Online courses are offered in an asynchronous manner over a 14-week semester.
Who is eligible for Dual Enrollment?
