“I can never lose my servant’s heart…”
Carlin Jordan graduated from Grace in 2019 with a Masters in Organizational Leadership.
Before attending Grace, Carlin attended Fayetteville State University for his undergraduate, where he met his wife, Enam. They became close friends and were married in 2014. He now lives in North Carolina with his wife and three boys.
Carlin has been in law enforcement for the past 8 years. In addition, he and his wife are also the lead pastors at their church, Deeper Waters Ministry. The church is committed to worship being expressed in everything they do, and the Holy Scriptures as life’s only guidebook.
When asked how Grace helped prepare him for his career, Carlin shared, “Servant Leadership was one of the many courses I took while at Grace, and this course better prepared me for the career of law enforcement and ministry that I’m currently working in. In order to be the best leader I was created to be, I learned that I can never lose my servant’s heart.”
He also shared about completing his thesis as one of his most memorable experiences at Grace. Carlin says, “[In writing my thesis]…I learned so much more about how to serve my community better through my profession, and the need for cultural diversity in law enforcement.”
According to Carlin, “Grace was exactly what I needed at the time I needed it the most.” He hopes that Grace will offer a doctoral program in the future. We’ll see!
