Grace Christian University is hosting a 9 day tour in Italy leaving the first week in May, 2017. This tour will be led by Dr. Kayleen Bobbitt, who recently received her doctorate in worship studies.

This tour will explore important Italian worship sites to experience the best ancient/historical Christian fine arts such as architecture, paintings, frescoes, mosaics, sculptures and more.

Cost of this tour is $3,895* with a $275 deposit due on November 15, 2016 to reserve your place. This tour can also be taken for Grace credit as a class entitled “Worship & the Fine Arts in Italy.”**

*Prices are based on current airfare rates.
**Standard Grace tuition rates are not included in the above price.

 

Class Credit

THIS STUDY ABROAD CLASS CAN BE TAKEN FOR 3 HOURS OF CREDIT* AS A FINE ARTS COURSE FOR ANY Grace PROGRAM THAT REQUIRES SUCH A COURSE:

FA 202 Worship and the Fine Arts in Italy
 – 3 hours. While touring various sites in Italy, students will be introduced to the basic historical eras and characteristics of Italian sacred fine arts and how these arts impacted Christian worship in the cities visited. This course will foster students’ appreciation of Italian fine arts and their understanding of the use of the fine arts in worship and how the arts might enhance their own personal worship and ministries.*If taken for credit, standard tuition rates will be added to the cost of the tour.
