Grace Basketball Inks LMCC standout, JoCorian Freeman

May 24, 2023 | Athletics, Men's Basketball

Benton Harbor, MI – Grace Christian University Mens Basketball adds Lake Michigan College standout, JoCorian Freeman.

JoCorian, a Dallas, TX High School player has played his last two seasons at Lake Michigan College. While at LMC he’s recorded 264 career points, 54 assists, and 98 rebounds.

On the addition of JoCorian to the Tigers roster, Coach Krombeen had these comments:
“JoCorian is a great fit for our team for this upcoming season. He is the kind of guy who genuinely wants to be here, even deciding to stay in Michigan to play rather than move back to Texas.  He instantly fit right in with his teammates, and seemed like he’s been here for years already.  He brings an athleticism on the wing that can really ignite a team. I envision him as a lockdown defender for us in the future as well.”

On choosing Grace, JoCorian added:
“There are many reasons as to why I chose Grace. For starters my former teammate at Lake Michigan College, Clay brought Grace Christian University to my attention.  My Freshman and Sophomore season we made it to the Great Lakes Tournament and lost in the semifinals. Something the team hadn’t done in quite some time. After the season I began researching Grace Men’s Basketball Team. I found it offered the degree program I want to pursue and to top it off its Christian base. I was raised in church and played drums for our church choir since I was eleven years old so that was a plus. I felt like I was at home during my visit, everyone was so kind and helpful. During my first open gym, everyone made me feel welcomed and treated me like family. It was a brotherhood. Being from Texas miles away this is all I needed to feel like home and I felt that from Grace. After having a talk with my parents, praying about it, letting God lead me, and having a great talk with Coach Krombeen I received confirmation that the Tiger Family would be a great fit.”

Welcome, JoCorian!
