Scott Receives All-Region Honors

Women's Basketball

In his sophomore campaign, AJ Scott led the Tigers in several offensive categories including At-Bats (124), Runs scored (21), Hits (41), Batting Average (.331) and On Base Percentage (.408). Starting at catcher for the majority of the year, Scott also caught an impressive 12 baserunners stealing, while tallying 17 steals on the bases himself. AJ’s performance was good enough to earn him a spot on the NCCAA D1 Midwest All-Region 2nd Team, the first Tiger ever to gain such honors.

“It was a great year and fun to have so much success,” Scott reflected. “The coaching staff gave me several things to work on in the offseason, and I suppose my hard work paid off! Can’t wait to get back at it next year.”

Coach Wolfe had this to say about AJ’s standout season: “I’m super proud of AJ and the recognition is well deserved. Offensively, AJ was always a guy we could count on to get the momentum going for us. He is one of the hardest working guys on the team, and a leader by example. The sky is the limit for AJ if he continues to put in the work.”
