Softball Signs Jenison HS Standout Carlee DeVries

HUDSONVILLE, MI – Coach Clark continues to build Grace Christian University’s first-ever Softball squad. This time he’s adding in local Jenison High School standout, Carlee DeVries. 

Carlee comes to GCU as a multi-sport athlete with experience playing Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer & Softball. During the off-season, she can be found playing for the Grand Rapids Flames. With seven years of club softball experience, Carlee has spent the last five with the Flames. Some of her recent stats with the Flames include BA: .453, OBP: .681, Pop time: 1.92, Hitting velocity: 68 mph. 
Carlee is also a member of her High School National Honor Society and is a leader on her praise and Worship team. 

Carlee is the daughter to Steve & Tina DeVries and has three siblings, Emily, Grace & Sam. While at Grace, Carlee plans to major in the Pre-Med program. 

When asked about her decision to attend Grace Christian University, Carlee had this to say: “I look forward to growing the softball program and setting records. I love the idea of building from start the softball program”.

Coach Clark also commented: “Carlee will be a foundational piece to our new program bringing a fierce competitiveness and an exceptional understanding to the game”.
