Admissions requirements are designed to ensure that students admitted to Grace Christian University have the ability and desire to successfully complete academic work, make full use of the educational opportunities available and show evidence of Christian commitment.


Your courses in the Graduate Studies Program at Grace Christian University will demand a high level of critical thinking and writing. To ensure that students are adequately prepared for graduate level work, we ask that you submit a sample of your academic writing as part of your application for admission. You may submit a piece of writing from your undergraduate work, or you may elect to develop an essay specifically for this admissions requirement. View Writing Sample Guidelines

Factors which are considered in the admission process are:

  1. A completed Graduate Programs Application form containing evidence of:a. Personal salvation through Jesus Christ, as well as Christian growth, church involvement, and other ministry or non-profit related Christian activities.b. Desire and calling to further one’s education and preparation for vocational and avocational ministry.
  2. A Bachelor’s degree from any of the following: Grace Christian University, institutions accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, all regionally accredited institutions, or non-accredited institutions approved on a case-by-case basis.
  3. A minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 2.50 (on a 4.00 scale).
  4. Submission of the Academic/Professional Reference and Pastoral Reference
  5. Submission of all official transcripts.
