MBA and Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership now at Grace Christian University

On Campus housing expansion represents physical growth of Grace Christian University, but the addition of an MBA and Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership represent the advancement of academic initiatives and a commitment to prepare students for advanced careers in a changing climate. The university now offers four graduate programs all 100% online, all with affordable tuition and flexible scheduling to accommodate the diverse needs of a changing student body.

Preparing students to network, strategize, and bring innovative ideas to their institutions, the Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership develops confident leaders who have the necessary skills to answer the challenging times currently found in higher education. “Higher education for many, is the great equalizer that can open doors to greater access to lifelong service and truly provide a seat at the table” says Dr. Scott Shaw, Dean and Professor at the university. This competitive and innovative degree ensures students are aptly prepared for this changing field with principles built on the foundation of a Christian worldview. Consider the ongoing discussions on the relevance of higher education, increasing costs, and equity concerns facing institutions today while engaging with expert faculty and a diverse student body. A graduate degree is necessary for those seeking to grow in the field of higher education, and the Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership is an excellent option.

Dr. Matthew DeYoung, Dean and Professor for Grace Christian University, shares his business expertise and entrepreneurial success with students in our new MBA offering. Currently residing in Belize, Dr. DeYoung has served the institution in many capacities on campus, online, and as a host to those studying abroad. Graduates from this program will be prepared for strategic management and visionary leadership roles in a variety of organizations. “I want to change lives through education,” says Dr. DeYoung, who sees the concept “Business as Mission” as a way of life. “My journey started in Ethiopia 15 years ago where I saw real poverty and my heart became called to serve differently. I was a missionary in Tanzania before moving back to the US and accepting the role of CEO and President for a start-up franchise that resulted in 35 locations. My family moved to Belize and I began a study abroad company to create jobs for the people in that community, and business has been the way God has allowed me to serve others in their place of need.” This Master of Business Administration will prepare others to impact the world for Christ in ways such as these, and provide the necessary foundation to grow in the field of business.
